Ashland MA MVA 12/31/2008 : I on-sited this MVC in Ashland during a fast moving snow storm that impacted the area. The driver was still in the vehicle with debris keeping the drivers door shut. The driver self extricated themselves out the passengers side and was transported with minor injuries.

Bellingham MA 2nd Alarm 12/17/2008 : Bellingham Firefighters made quick work of this 2nd Alarm at 44 Chestnut Street. Fire was knocked down prior to my arrival.

Franklin MA 2nd Alarm 12/12/2008 : Franklin Firefighters responded to a report of a house explosion in the area of 657 West Central Street. Upon arrival they found a 2 story wood frame at 652 Old West Central Street well involved and a 2nd alarm was transmitted. Bystanders reported that there was possibly occupants trapped. The heavy fire was knocked down prior to my arrival. One civilian fatality was discovered during overhaul.

Worcester MA Propane Leak 12/11/2008 : Worcester Fire Alarm began receiving calls for a gas leak at 486 Chandler Street Worcester State College. Engine 3, Reserve Engine 22, Ladder 7, Rescue 1 and Car 4 responded. Arriving companies reported a large visible cloud and a 500 lb propane cylinder venting next to a building. Several buildings were checked and the cylinder was shut down. Engine 5 was special called. *This was during the massive ice storm that crippled most of Central & Western Massachusetts and Eastern New York.*

Shrewsbury MA 2nd Alarm 11/23/2008 : Shrewsbury Firefighters responded to 29 Lake View Ave shortly after 1300 Hrs for a reported fire. Engine 2 arriving on scene reported smoke showing. A 2nd Alarm was quickly transmitted for manpower and a Northborough Engine for RIT. The fire was contained to a bedroom on the second floor with minor extension to the attic.

Newton MA 3rd Alarm 11/21/2008 : Newton Firefighters responded to Box 335 for a fire at 31 Sterling Street. Arriving companies reported heavy smoke showing and the fire quickly overtook the attic. Access to the fire was extremely difficult from several knee walls and void spaces from past construction. The fire was brought under control after several hours of tough work.

Somerville MA ACW 11/19/2008 : At approx 2140 Hrs Somerville Firefighters responded to Box 2571 for a reported fire at 14 Oxford Street. Engine 7 reported smoke showing on arrival. Fire was contained to a bedroom on Floor 2 with extension to the walls on Floor 3. Fire was reported knocked just prior to our arrival from Cambridge.

Ashland MA MVA 11/12/2008 : Ashland Engine 2 and Ambulance 1 were dispatched to a MVC reported rollover on Pond Street at approx 1300 Hrs. The driver had fallen asleep at the wheel and proceeded to strike a hydrant and a utility pole. The driver was not injured.

Framingham MA 2nd Alarm 2/17/2008 : Framingham Fire Alarm began to receive calls reporting a fire on Avon Street. Engine 3 arrived on scene with heavy smoke showing from the attic. Shortly afterward a flashover occurred and operations went defensive. Companies engaged heavy fire in the attic for about an hour before companies were able to began interior operations again. The cause of the fire was unknown and deemed suspicious.
